Wheelabrator Spokane Inc.

Located in Spokane, Washington, the Wheelabrator Spokane waste-to-energy facility provides dependable, environmentally safe disposal of municipal solid waste for Spokane County, Washington. The Spokane facility processes up to 800 tons per day of municipal solid waste from both unincorporated and incorporated towns and cities of Spokane County. At full capacity, the plant, which sells electricity to Puget Sound Power and Light, can generate more than 26,000 kilowatt-hours of electrical energy per hour. This is the equivalent of supplying all of the electrical needs of 23,000 homes.
