Wheelabrator North Andover Inc.
Located in North Andover, Massachusetts, the Wheelabrator North Andover waste-to-energy
facility provides dependable, environmentally safe disposal of municipal solid
waste, while generating clean electric energy for sale to the local utility.
The North Andover facility processes up to 1500 tons per day of municipal solid
waste from northeast Massachusetts. At full capacity, the plant, which sells
electricity to a local utility company, can generate
more than 40,000 kilowatt-hourssof electrical energy per hour.
This is the equivalent of supplying all of the electrical needs of nearly 50,000
Massachusetts homes.
