Wheelabrator's commitment to safety is highlighted by recognition from the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety & Health Administration by certifying Wheelabrator's facilities as Star worksites under their Voluntary Protection Program (VPP).

All 21 of Wheelabrator's energy facilities have been certified as OSHA VPP Star worksites.

Less than three-one hundredths of one percent of the worksites in the U.S. have been certified by OSHA as VPP worksites, and only nine other companies have more worksites certified as VPP Star locations.
